Capricorn Insurance (AKA Risk or Mutual) is absolutely disgraceful. They are not worth the excessive premiums when it comes to making a claim. The Claims Department (particularly Beth Elliott) performance and approach to customer service is frankly woeful, with repeated STONEWALLING, then messages NOT BEING RESPONDED to for days. I had a very disappointing experience with Capricorn Account regarding a dispute involving two of their members—a wrecker and the mechanic where I had a job done. The wrecker unlawfully charged the mechanic under their Capricorn account for a dispute that had nothing to do with him, purely as a way to claim my transfer case by intimidating the mechanic. Don’t waste your time with this organisation. In the early 2000s I had a great experience, but all of that has changed for the Worst in the largest possible ways. The rep repeatedly makes commitments on behalf of the company that the company will never keep, outright lies. I’ve discovered that I negotiate better deals directly with the supplies anyway because they no longer need to pay Capricorn’s commission.
