My wife was found to have Alzheimer’s several years ago and I went to a number of support/educational groups to try to learn what we were in for, how to care for her, myself and our 16 year old daughter still at home. I finally found Cappella's and have really started learning things that I can use!! My experience with Capella is rather limited so far. My only involvement has been attending the memory care dinners and the caregiver support group. That said, they have both been supportive and helpful. Barbara has been a great hostess and has done a fantastic job of organizing and carrying out these functions as well as the Knowledge at Noon. Our experience with Capella has primarily been through the support programs they generously provide to our community. In my own opinion, Cappella Assisted Living in Grand Junction was a great place to work until the new EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (Suzanne) started. I believe she has turned Cappella into a hostile environment for residents and staff. Suzanne has been there a little over a year. In that time, some employees have quit because of how hostile she is. Including a nursing director, a maintenance director, and a nursing directors assistant (LPN).
