Back then, it was like a friendly family competition of who had the best food. My parents and grandparents shopped for days all over Brooklyn. The pizza is great — if at last you get it. Four of us called ahead for pizza and were told it would be ready in 30 minutes. We arrived 30 minutes later, and were told it was "almost ready" (not true). Ten minutes more — "almost ready" (not true). Ten more — "three minutes to go" (not true).
