I just switched to Capitaland and it was the best decision ever! One of my dogs is quite fearful and anxious and Dr Pedersen's approach to him was like no other! She took her time, spent over an hour with us (we had both dogs) and ended up feeling it was best to not do the vaccines on my fearful dog that evening. We went back 3 days later for the vaccines and at 7 yrs old it was his very first time getting his vaccines with no muzzle!!!! I highly recommend this office. Very nice place takes good care of you and your animals
Went to Capitaland Animal Hospital today after being told that my current long time vet couldn’t see my ailing dog for 3 1/2 weeks. First, they were able to see him the same day I called. Dr. Pedersen noticed my dog’s anxiety right away and took a very slow, calm approach before examining him. Even though I brought my dog in for a skin issue Dr. Pedersen was very thorough and spent at least a half hour with us, addressing various issues and explained options and also addressed what could be done to ease his anxiety in differ... read more

I cannot express my gratitude to the Vets and staff for all their support and kindness. I wish I found them 11 years ago. Never has a vet personally call me to check up on my two boys. I was so surprised and relieved I found someone who actually cares about my boys. My previous vet lives 3 houses up from not once has she called to follow up etc Capital Land goes above and beyond. The Dr and staff are well trained and most of all very kind. They are always pleasant & professional.
1st visit today. Great place. Staff is friendly and Dr.k is great with Winchester my Jack-a- poo. I transferred him to capital land because he got so anxious and uncontrollable at his previous vet that they wanted to sedate him for. any further visits. What a huge difference bringing him here made. By no means is he a easy patient but Dr.K was able to calm him enough to examine him and even get bloodwork and give a vaccine without sedation. Glad I made the switch.
