I had been a loyal patient of this office for 8 years and had to make a change because of the blatant disregard for patient care and wellbeing. I had an appointment to remove my IUD in March of 2025. I was told in the appointment that the IUD was embedded and would need to be surgically removed. I want to share my experience to highlight how poorly women’s health can be handled in the US, and I hope it helps others make an informed choice. In September 2022, I visited this gynecologist’s office in Ballston, VA (conveniently located across from my apartment at the time). The doctor found some polyps and told me I needed to return to have them removed — a minor procedure, I was told. Terrible company; I had my appointment almost 1 month ago and still have not been able to gain access to my patient portal to see my lab results. I have called almost everyday, multiple times throughout the day to speak with someone to gain access so I can see my lab results and medical records but no one ever answers the phone. The one time I do get someone on the phone (after calling back to back 21 times), the person takes down my email and says she will email me the link to gain access and I never got an email.

I have been coming here for over 5 years, and never had a bad experience. I have interacted with several different doctors, and have found them all to be caring and thorough. I have had especially great experiences with Dr. Costley. All the nursing/ tech staff I’ve encountered have been great, too. I see lots of poor reviews about the front desk/ admin staff, but I myself have never experienced a serious problem. I have no issues using the patient portal to view test results and ask questions. The person that works at the front desk is terrible. Every question I asked her she couldn’t answer. They barely answer the phone and when they do they’re very dismissive. They will waste your time and they are very unprofessional. My appointment was booked almost 4 weeks in advanced but 45 minutes before my appointment the front desk staff messaged me saying my appointment will be cancelled if I didn’t do this that and the other.
