Cap Metro is definitely not perfect, but taken for what it is, it's usually reliable and usually the bus drivers are diligent, attentive, react in a timely manner to stop requests, and are reasonably courteous in response to route questions. Buses don't normally show up on the dot, granted, but the estimates on the apps and, for the stations that have them, on the schedule screen tend to be accurate within a ten minute margin of error. Absolutely unreliable, the new Rapid routes are a joke. CapMetro advertises real-time arrivals, I've sat at the stop for up to 5 minutes while the info board says due, no bus. My old Tracfone had better GPS. I suspect it's not GPS, but IRF detectors at the stops. WiFi is hit or miss and I can board a local route at the same time and get there maybe 5 minutes later. False advertising, a vieled rate hike is what it really is.
