The hospice care for my mother received was a godsend. Not only did they make sure my mother's home stretch was comfortable, but they began the healing for my grieving family, particularly me. I have no words to express my gratitude to Capital Caring for taking care of my mom while she was in Hospice. The nurses were so nice and experienced. A huge shout out to Barbara Jones who took care of my mother. She was always so loving towards my mom, my mom loved her. We all formed a beautiful friendship with her. Capital Caring provided hospice services for my mother from December 2023 - January 2024. I want to share what a wonderful organization this is. From start to finish they were caring, supportive and understanding. The hospice nurse that came to our house was extraordinary (Denise), she was open, honest and supportive. Dr Anne Solomon is all about the patient comfort and care. Our experience with Capital Caring at INOVA Fairfax hospital was terrible. My Mom signed the paperwork to transfer my father into their in-hospital hospice care at 4pm (mind you, we had decided late morning that we’d be taking this approach, which had been communicated to Capital Caring, and were just waiting for my uncle to arrive from out of town to begin the actual process).
