I completed my occupational therapy 12 week fieldwork as an intern with Capital Area Speech and Occupational Therapy. CASOT is a very special pediatric clinic filled with compassionate and knowledgeable therapists who demonstrate the true meaning behind meaningful family-centered care! The office and billing team goes above and beyond to support both the clinicians and families to receive services. It was such a privilege to support families and their children in reaching important goals in fun, creative, and functional ways... read more

I worked here for 12 weeks as an OT therapy intern and am so glad to say I learned tons about treating kiddos in this population, and the insurance process behind the scenes that makes healthcare work in an outpatient setting. This facility has plenty of skilled therapists that are very intentional and client centered in their approach. Unfortunately, we are going to proceed with therapy elsewhere. This is completely due to poor management in the billing department. My son had a good experience with the therapist and I was hoping we could get past the lack of clarity with fees and billing. So that future patients are aware, I never asked or hinted to manipulate any... read more

First thing- No issues with the therapist, she did a good evaluation. Now coming to the real issue with the place- The billing system and the people handling it are no short of scamsters. In my 16 years of dealing with medical providers and insurance in the US never once I have encountered a place that charges your card without explaining the charges or even giving a proper statement with a "due date". Their explanation for charging our card with random charges is that we have signed paperwork saying we will pay. We absolute... read more

My child has been seeing Julia Tomlinson for feeding therapy since March. She has been a crucial addition to his care team, and one of his biggest advocates! My child is excited to go to therapy for each session and has made lots of progress with her over the months. Not only has she been compassionate and kind towards me and my child, but she has been effective at getting him interested in food, chewing better, and she has pointed us in the right directions for seeking out medical care (reevaluating oral ties, swallow studi... read more
