Great Food!! We had a party of 24 people and this place rocked it. Special shout out to Brittany our server for her EXCELLENT service and to the host Mallory for being so nice and being able to accommodate us. I will definitely be back and thanks for making our evening so wonderful!!
Took over an hour to get food and drinks on St. Paddys day (granted it was busy) it was obvious they were overwhelmed. The worst was when I was in the bathroom a drunk girl opened the door to my bathroom without knocking and started swinging on it while one of the waitresses talked to her the entire time and was “catching up” with her. She proceeded to do this to the woman in the bathroom next to me too. Not once did the waitresss/ hostess reprimand her friend. 30 minutes later some girl stabbed another girl in the bathroom.... read more
Business response:
Hi Karina, I am very sorry it took so long for you to receive your food and drinks on St. Patrick's Day. We will do better next year in making sure we are better prepared for the crowd. We will investigate our employee's behavior in the restroom right away. There was a reported incident in the ladies room, however I can assure you nobody was stabbed. Thank you for bringing all of this to our attention. Please contact me at emily@captialalehouse.com so I can make this up to you!
We usually love this place but on St Patrick’s Day we were seated in the back and it was extremely noisy, primarily due to the speakers on the walls playing very loud music. It was much quieter in the front part of the restaurant. The service was very slow but since it was a holiday we cut them some slack. Our meal of corned beef and cabbage was pretty good but the cabbage was hard as a rock.
Business response:
Hi Ron, I am so sorry for the experience you had with us on St. Patrick's Day. We will certainly take the noise issue into consideration when we go to plan our event next year. We want everyone to have a great and safe time on St. Patrick's Day and not be uncomfortable in our establishment because of something we are doing. I also apologize about the food you were served and will make sure the kitchen staff is aware. That is completely unacceptable especially with it being a featured dish. Please email me at emily@capitalale... read more
40% is seating open told 2 hr wait - the table finally given has been open for over an hour when we walked in the door - piss poor management
Business response:
Hi Tony, I am so sorry for the long wait you experienced on Saturday. There are no excuses for you waiting so long with there being that many open tables available. Thank you for drawing this to our attention so we can bring this up with our host staff and address any issues that may be occurring. Please email me at emily@capitalalehouse.com so I can make this up to you!
Wrong beer brought to table, but was corrected. Four of us eating, one dish brought out 10-15 minutes before the other three of us got our food. Way too much seasoning on food, I’d prefer to taste food, not just the spice/seasoning. Steak was dry and cold. Maybe it was an “off night” for the staff, but not so sure I want to gamble about $100 to try it again either.
Business response:
Hey Kandy, I am sorry to hear your experience with us this evening was not an enjoyable one. I will be sure to speak with our culinary team about the spice and timing of you leave meal. Please us to show you the hospitality you deserve. Reach out to me at linzy@capitalalehouse.com to gather further details about your experience and set up a time to revisit. Thank you, Linzy Browne
