I just spent four days in Cooper Hospital at Cape May Courthouse, and it was an absolute nightmare. Every single day I was given a different diagnosis—spider bites, shingles, chickenpox—you name it. They were clearly guessing and had no clue what was actually going on. Meanwhile, they loaded me up with antibiotics, steroids, Benadryl, and more, like I was a science experiment. Worst hospital ever. Avoid at all costs. Wait time is unreal in ER. Maybe they need shore memorial to tain the ER personnel
Came to ER having chest pains. The staff here was fantastic. Very upbeat, kind, and professional. I have to call out Jay and Emily who really got me through my time in the ER, along with the rest of staff there(sorry I can't remember everyone's names!). Thank you for getting me on the path to healing!
The staff was excellent from ER doctor to hospitalist to nurses and CNA. But lower stars for two reasons: 1 - When my family member was admitted to their room, at one of the beds in the room, there was a container full of urine on the wall, leftover from a previous patient. The room had supposedly been cleaned, but this was a huge oversight and made us question the overall cleanliness. 2 - Once the decision was made to admit my family member, there was a 3-4 hour wait in the ER even after we were told a bed was ready.
Understaffed! Poor communication with patients as well as amongst the medical staff!! They are under staffed and supposed medical staff was almost annoyed that I was asking to see a doctor to find out what her diagnosis was and how they were treating her. She was sent to a room by 6pm after being in the Emergency room since 8 and did not see a hospitalist until almost 3pm the next day!
