What a magical island and beautiful accommodation, a true home away from home. I took a couple of mates over and we flew in, for pilots the runway is in great condition and there was zero issues with both landing and takeoff. The accommodation is clean and incredibly comfortable with all the little touches you expect from a quality resort. The caretakers really went out of their way to show us the island and a few hidden beaches and walking tracks we probably would not of found ourselves. The sunsets were stunning from the Picnic Tree under Cape Keppel. Crabbing in shallows was so much fun - the fish practically jumped onto our lines. The Hosts Lisa & Gary are super friendly and accommodating making you feel very welcome - like being "Home" again. The boat ride over and back was so scenic! I highly recommend this beautiful place.
My fiancé surprised me with a lovely trip away to Cape Keppel Lodge. Such a gorgeous location and only at quick 15 minute flight to Rocky. We had such amazing and gracious hosts Lisa and Gary. So much beautiful bird life, wallabies and kangaroos! Gary took us mud crabbing and we didn't even have to get dirty! We saw pipis as big as my palm! There is also a stunning lavender garden by Cape Cod chairs. We couldn’t get over the 270d ocean views and cosy seaside fire. This place is amazing! Let me start by saying Wow!!! This property is stunning! It was beautifully clean and well presented, hosts Lisa and Rok were so welcoming, helpful and attentive, honestly just amazing. The cottage was well equipped and so comfortable for myself and the kids, the biggest draw card for me was the location, views for days!!!! I honestly could rave about this place for hours. Such an underrated destination to visit in Oz. The kids had a blast. I ate like a king eating Mub crabs. Will be coming back. Just maybe without the kids next time 🤣 I'll be bringing someone special with me next time to enjoy this place on another level 😉
