I would like to send a huge thank you to the emergency room staff that worked with Dr. Burgess on 6/1/2025. They were amazing!! I have to acknowledge Dr. Burgess, his bed side manner was so kind sincere. He took his time and spoke with my mother, not using medical terminology, but speaking to her so that she could understand all he said. Would give zero stars if possible. Received email, 2 texts and a phone call confirming my 1pm appointment and was told to arrive at 12:30. After check-in, very rude tech (not receptionist) said I was told to arrive at 1pm (total untruth) for a 1:30 appointment. Typical CFVMC horrible service. Stay far away from this place.
This hospital is better then main campus
I recently underwent hip replacement surgery at Cape Fear Hoke Hospital. Although the surgery, recovery, and therapy were challenging, I want to sincerely commend the incredible staff who cared for me during my stay. From the security guard who warmly greeted me upon arrival to the nurses, physical therapists, maintenance personnel, and food service employees, everyone played a role in making what could have been a difficult experience a truly positive one.
