So for over the past 2 years Rick has been working diligently on my full sleeve. It isn't always easy coming up with ideas for trash polka style Star Wars sleeve, but, he's done it, slowly piecing everything together, it has turned out better then the ideas in my head could of ever imagined. I would never get another tattoo from anyone else. I will be getting a lot more work done for sure. Awesome shop, great atmosphere and soothing tunes over the speakers lmao!!!!
I had a faded tattoo that I needed to bring back to life... Rick Welch did an awesome job doing that for me!! I live an hour away but wouldn't go to anyone else at this point! I would highly recommend him!!
Rick has done several large pieces on me, and they have all been awesome! I just give Rick an idea, let him run with it, and it always ends up being better than imagined. I’ve sat through 4 hour sessions and have to say Rick puts solid lines and color with a light touch. Nothing is worse than a heavy hand over a long period of time. You won’t get that with Rick. You’ll get an artist who cares about what he’s doing and has fun doing it. The rest of the staff is always friendly and makes me feel welcome.
Cape fear tattoo is a amazing shop with amazing artist including Rick Welch who has done all my tattoos and has never let me down always giving me amazing tattoos and really makes you feel at home when you come in the shop.
When me and my sister in-law went searching for a shop to get matching tattoos we stumbled across this awesome place. We were greeted instantly and talked with Rick about what we wanted. He told us to wait a bit while he drew something up. When he came back we loved what he had designed and immediately got inked. Rick is a great artist with a great attitude. Rick is my go-to artist here! He's very kind, skilled, and professional. He'll work with you to make sure you get exactly the design that you want, and that you know how to care for it afterwards. He also makes great and funny conversation so the process is never dull!
Sam is the best! I drive all the way from northern VA to get tattooed by him. He is that good. He’s also very professional and respectful. Just all around amazing.
Rick has done a phenomenal job on my most favorite & personal tattoos. He took his time to ensure I would love them and I am so thankful!
