My son's therapist is Dr. Sherry and I must say, she truly cares about her patients! She never talks down to me or my 7 year old son, but she uses language we both understand! My son has started to become more confident and less anxious about school. His behaviors have improved so much with her help. She helped me become aware of things I never thought of! Cape Fear Behavioral Health Center was a great learning experience for me as a new therapist. Having the pleasure to work with positive, knowledgeable and caring therapists made CFBHC a pleasant place to work. As a therapist working at CFBHC I had the opportunity to work with a diverse population, leading to an increase in my confidence as a therapist. Additionally the Center offers FREE supervision to Associate level LCMHC and LCSW. The Center's receptionist Jessica is a wonderful asset.

After joining the clinic in 2019 as a therapist and recently retiring in December 2021.I appreciate Dr. Kidd giving me the opportunity to work with true professionals and supportive administrative staff. I especially want to thank Jessica at the front desk. I believe she made all of us therapist jobs a lot easier. On a personal note, i want to say working there got me out my comfort zone of not working with small children and i now have some enjoyable memories. T. Wilson

Being new to the area, I needed to find a psychiatrist. I went to this place and was told after three visits including my assessment, I would be referred to a psychiatrist. My therapist was fine. However, Dr. Kidd is quite a piece of work. First, she argued with me about the number of visits I needed for a referral to a psychiatrist. Then she confronted my therapist in front of me and corrected her with a tone you'd use with a child. Totally inappropriate! Read all the Google reviews before going to this practice!!!!!! The owner is HORRIBLE! ALL THE REVIEWS ON GOOGLE PROVE IT! Horrible!!!!! The the therapist Theresa iS wonderful but the lady in the front ( DR. ANGELA ELIZABETH KIDD) who claims to be the owner is absolutley horrible. Ive never been treated so nasty and rude. I tried to speak with her about her disposition and she refused to allow me to speak and then blamed me for her nasty attitude. A LOT of client's have fallen victim to her serpent's mouth. Simpson, P: I have been bringing my teenage son here for about 2 months now. I could see an immediate change in his behavior. He has become more Interactive with other people and has begun conmunicating with me more. Our relationship is improving and he is learning to trust our relationship.
