We spent the afternoon with Patti touring the BOGS. She was an awesome tour guide. Her information was current and relative as well as very personal and enjoyable. We met the farmer and tasted fresh berries! I would encourage anyone of any age to book with Cape Cod Cranberry Bog Tours.
Incredible experience from Patti and Dave!!! We were very lucky to see the harvest, which this year lasted from the last week of October until Nov 10th. But even if you're not watching the floating red berries getting raked into a giant vacuum hose, you will get an informative tour, with a walk around the cranberry fields, an interesting history lesson, view into the modern industry (harvest equipment, water management strategies, new varieties, and more), and even a taste of raw cranberries (eh, they're just ok). Wonderful tour by Patti with some help from farmer Dave. Tour lasted a little over an hour and was very informative. Patti was able to answer the many questions our group had and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We got to try some fresh cranberries which were interesting. She showed us equipment on the farm and explained what it takes to be a cranberry farmer which is a lot. Extremely happy with the tour and well worth your time in Cape Cod.
Really fun tour, great people and very interesting information, I've gained appreciation for the cranberry industry!
