Unqualified management staff to handle problems. Corporate lack of knowledge with regards to their duty to produce rent receipts for CRA to ALL tenants and not tell them they have to ASK for it.
Absolutely terrible, people are loud and dirty, management does not care.
The building is poorly maintained, the windows are badly insulated and we've requested they be replaced, but it's taking a long time, even though it's the middle of winter. Despite the concierge cleaning every day and making a lot of effort, some neighbors have no concept of hygiene, especially those with dogs that don't pick up after their pets. It's truly awful; you only have to look at the photos.
I’ve only lived here for 5 months and have already dealt with nonstop heating and water issues. The water has been shut off multiple times, there have been several periods with no hot water, and we went weeks without heat during winter when outdoor temperatures were between -15°C and -30°C. At one point, the apartment temperature dropped to 15°C, which is completely unacceptable and unsafe. These problems have been ongoing with no lasting fixes. Well over a month (before Christmas) with water issues. Bursting pipes, boiler issues, constant water shut offs. We went through almost 2 weeks with barely any heat. Our apartment was 17 degrees. We didn't have heat for 2 days. Just had a valve room water pipe burst this week. Again tonight a burst pipe, water shut off without warning. Damaged 1 unit and trickled down damage to 5 floors below. The office and CapReit are aware from the after hours company of the damaged pipes and did not get them fixed.
