Last week my daughter had a mental health crisis and tried to take her own life. After spending 8 hours in the emergency room she was sent to Canyon Ridge as they are a Kaiser hospital. I started reading the reviews and was extremely concerned about the care that my daughter would get as the hospital had many complaints and just a 1 1/2 star rating. As it turned out my daughter received amazing care. We were called by her case worker twice and he explained everything about what was going on with my daughters treatment and t... read more
Give yourself a favor, do not go to this hospital at all cost. They don't act/resolve properly, promptly and professionally invasion of privacy and safety. They give wrong diagnosis so your stay is extended. It will be more traumatic and stressful to stay in this place.
If you have a loved one who needs care and treatment, then do not choose Canyon Ridge Hospital. Our daughter was admitted involuntarily to this facility and the treatment she received there was shocking. As stated in other reviews it is almost impossible to reach anyone to discuss anything and the phone rings out constantly with no answer. Similarly, the case worker assigned to our daughter was disinterested and offhand and it was very difficult to reach her, she did not respond to numerous calls. Many of the nursing staff t... read more
UNIT 2A (Women) ** I stayed at the facility for 72 hours voluntarily. While the I witnessed several atrocities, abuse of patients. Elderly patients falling from wheelchairs and falling o the floor with no assistance from staff. The patients were the ones who helped them up. When trying to sedated an 80 pound older woman 5 to 6 men held her down as she came out of the shower and they hi fived and smiling and joking about how great it was. They also speak out loud in the nuses station about patients conditions publically. The... read more
Since Friday I have been trying to reach out to a case worker a therapist and noe Dr Jones and all I getvis hung up the run around and voice mails I can't even leave messages to . They keep telling me that I need a family meeting to get my daughter discharged which I belive they are not doing just to get more money out us and my insurance. For 4 days I was charged 3341.00. They told me that if I tried taking my daughter home against medical advice they would not continue to help her. The environment is not stable. I do not r... read more
This is the WORST facility I have EVER encountered! My grandson was admitted there for Mental Health care, and it was a HORRIBLE experience in every possible way. Do NOT send your loved one to this place!!!
If ZERO stars were an option, I would choose that. PLEASE DO NOT EVER SEND, ALLOW, or otherwise, for your child to go here. My son was taken here on a 24 hour hold. I followed the ambulance, and was denied from seeing him for 3 hours. They made him sign paperwork that he did not understand. They violated his patient rights, and mine as the parent of a minor. They denied him toiletries after not having a shower in 3 days. ONLY a limited amount of showers actually had warm water. His room smelled of urine and there were inapp... read more
