Canyon Club Hotel could be a gay gem in the desert but unfortunately the property has been patchworked together so often that it's literally falling apart at the seams. Owner, Chris Guyer, spends no noticeable time on property. You might catch a glimpse of him when he sometimes drops off breakfast or when he's there to yell at his employees. Stayed at Canyon Club Hotel and… wow. If you're here just to cruise and don’t care where you sleep after, fine. But if you expect even basic cleanliness or comfort, good luck. The pool and garden? Nice. Plenty of chairs, gets lively on weekends, and lots of day passers keep things interesting. Staff were friendly, and the location is decent, though you’ll still need a car. Now, the rooms?
