Please be forewarned My wife needed to have tooth #29 drilled and filled due to cavities. Well, their assessment included a number of unnecessary procedures to jack up their profit. Included were root canal, crown, pulling teeth, scaling, periodontal consultation, etc. Almost $7K. We were fools to trust them with tooth #29. Title: Stay Away -- Misleading and Disappointing Experience I called over 10 dental offices before choosing Flamingo Smiles Dental. Every single office, without exception, told me that the first appointment with my Liberty Insurance would include an X-ray and a standard teeth cleaning, along with recommendations based on the results. Terrible experience. First of all, every person that I came into contact with from this office seemed to have a sales pitch and more interested in gouging you than actually offering care. I was told that a cleaning was going to be $600 which I've never heard in my life and was told by the woman at the front desk they "don't do regular cleanings" and it was "actually a great deal because normally its $3000". Outrageous! I went in for x-rays, exam, treatment plan. They billed my insurance $1400 and MY part I owe is $864! They didn't do any work! I have 3 cavities but they won't allow me to do fillings. They want root canals and crows. Prices are very very high. Outrageous cost. My plan pays a maximum of 1500 per year. They took my benefits. Now I can't get any work done and I'm in pain.
I am extremely impressed by this great dental practice. Every person who helped me, from Bailey at the Front Desk, Eddie in X-ray, and Avelina (the best hygienist I've ever had), made my visit easy, painless and informative. Dr. Kyle Gonzalez actually examined my teeth and x-rays, and took his time to explain the answers to all kinds of questions I had. Quite frankly, I've never had such a great experience at any dental practice before. They have my thanks and my future customer loyalty.
Bad experience and fortunately, I walked out before they ever touched my teeth.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY OVERCHARGING THEIR PATIENTS AND REFUSING TO REFUND THE MONEY! THEY ARE REFUSING TO HONOR THE EXPLANATION OF BENEFITS PROVIDED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY! I wish I could give this company zero stars. Dentist of Gainesville charged both me and my insurance for services provided in their office. On top of that the services they provide are substandard. I had two crown done in this office and I continue to have severe pain and sensitivity in the two teeth they treated back in April of 2024. I have been w... read more
