Stopped by Cantina Louie’s for a quick bite. I really miss how, back home, Mexican restaurants always had weekend soups like pozole, menudo, or caldo de pollo/res — none of that here. I ordered the Al Pastor tacos, which were supposed to have pineapple but didn’t. Tortillas weren’t warm, and the tacos came out lukewarm. We love it here, first time visiting. Food was delicious, our server Jose was very attentive. It was Sunday afternoon it was quiet not a lot of people.

I had high expectations after hearing so many positive things about this restaurant chain, but my visit was unfortunately disappointing. The good: the chips and salsa were excellent, the marsh view was beautiful, and our waiter delivered outstanding service — friendly, attentive, and professional.
