Food was not great - steak / chicken cold a cover cooked .
Food was good, service was great. Atmosphere was a restaurant but I didn’t go there for atmosphere.
Santiago did an excellent job! He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Great service and a wonderful experience. We really appreciate it.
Overall a great find for Mexican food on Amelia Island...which is a crowded and highly competitive market. What sets apart the Cantina is that it is much more Tex Mex than traditional Mexican...which doesn't make it better or worse than traditional Mexican but rather a grat alternative. We had their tacos and steak fajitas and they were seriously good- reminded me of Texas border ranch cooking- add some beer and you have a combination of treats that is truly tongue pleasing
Well earned 1 star review! Hostess station was a "hot mess" was the beginning of a short stay. Hostess asked a waiter (not the one who would have served us) if the table they wanted to place us was cleaned and ready, but it wasn't. Still had food scraps from the previous customer. Thankfully the new waitress quickly cleaned the table. Once we sat down the table was "wobbly" to the point where we wouldn't be able to enjoy the meal.
