Bad food, bad service – There are many great mexican restaurants in Austin and this is not one of them. If you are in a hurry no need to read the rest of this review. The service was absolutely the laziest I have ever seen in Austin. The server was annoyed to explain anything to us about the menu. The server pushed us through the dinner. The appetizer was quickly followed by our entree and the check was put on the table just after we started our entree. My entree was taco's on corn tortilla's which was served with flour tort... read more

Best Tortilla Soup in Austin – I can't comment on any other menu item, because, well I ALWAYS get the soup. On my first visit I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered a cup of tortilla soup. When it came out I told the waiter there was a mistake, I ordered a cup not a bowl. He assured me the trough before me was the cup. It was delicious! I now crave it and try my best to eat it once a week.

Mexican food, atmosphere was nice but the food was bad – The food wasn't seasoned enough, and tasted like was made from a can with all the tomato sauce. The music was nice and place was clean but I wouldn't recommend there food.

good food, good location – fun restaurant. we watched the downtown criteriums while eating on the street corner. Couldn't have been more like europe! this place had very good service from the time we entered to the time we left. Enchiladas were great! Tortilla Chips were fresh, not stale. I did like the two salsas, one tasted like toasted chiles/chipotles and the other was a more typical tomato flavored picante. Queso was a perfect appetizer. The bill was a little pricey, so I'd give it more dollar signs. Don't think the mar... read more

Authentic Mexican dishes in a sophisticated atmosphere. – In Short Hand-rolled enchiladas and signature sauces (chipotle-wine with portobello mushrooms or sauteéd artichoke hearts and roasted red peppers) make this upscale, white-tablecloths eatery a hit for usiness lunch and casual dinner. Lunch-goers rave about enchiladas Veracruz, stuffed with chicken, spinach and monterey jack cheese or the asada, mesquite-grilled topped with sauteed poblano peppers and onions. For dinner, the jumbo shrimp basted in garlic butter satisfi... read more

can't wait to go back – For a night out downtown, this is perfect! Much nicer than our local Tex-Mex hangout -a fun and classier place to be with table cloths and immaculate crisp surroundings. We loved the delicious guacamole made at our table..it was so fresh and tasty...they will bring additional seasonings if you want. All the food is fun to try..the seafood and specialty Mexican dishes and sauces were divine. We eagerly tried apple pie with cinnamon ice cream and butter/ brandy sauce since it was a special occasion...YU... read more

mediocre at best – This place was a real disappointment. We split mole enchiladas and had the tableside guacamole. The mole was just boring -- tasted like it was from a jar. We kept thinking of ways to improve the guac which was completely overpriced -- more lime, a little salt, etc. Too bad they don't give you the ingredients and let you make it yourself. The kicker was when we asked for iced tea, and the server asked if we wanted regular or flavored and listed the flavors -- guess how much our flavored tea was -- $4 each. ... read more
