love the atmosphere – i have visited Cantina Laredo for more then 3 times and so far had as awesome experience,food was excellentand so was the waitress,couldnt ask for more!!!i dreally dont understand the bad reviews on this website but everyone is different i guess...i would highly recommend this place to famly and friends!!!
Pretty good food, delicious salsas – We happened into Cantina Laredo on Sunday evening, after hearing about it around town. The bar area was beautiful and the waitress/bartender and host were very nice. While the frozen margarita was nice and strong, it was quite pricey ($9, I believe) for its size. Best Salsa – My husband and I have lived on the north side of Austin for 2 years now and we looked for months before we were able to find a Mexican restaurant in this town with a lot of flavor and spice. We eventually found Cantina Laredo and now it's our favorite Mexican restaurant ever! It's well worth the drive into downtown. Overpriced, bad service, bad food, bill was padded. – All food was bad. The Quacamole - overpowering lime but otherwise bland. The queso. Too hot, masked cheese flavor. The Steak - OMG, how much salt do they think we can take? The vegetables - undercooked. And to add insult to injury, they added an item to the bill that should not have been there. There were 3 of us and none of us liked this place.

Best mexican food in Austin by far. – Cantina Laredo is an awesome place for dinner or for happy hour with friends. The ceviche is the best I"ve ever had and the margaritas are to die for. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great environment with awesome food and service.
Where's the consistency??? – The main reason people eat at chain restaurants (no matter how average) is beacuse they know what to expect. I've visited Cantina Larado about 6 times now, and each time is an adventure. The visits have run the spectrum from "I love this place" to "When did they change ownership?".
