This Southern Italian favorite in the North End has been popular since it opened in 1931. You will spot the big, neon sign over the bustling scene on Hanover Street. The dining room is filled with tables, plush plastic booths, ornate posters and bright lighting. Hearty, traditional meals are the draw. Expect to see generous portions of spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmigiana, lasagna and veal piccatta. No fusion is allowed, but the red sauce has something of a cult following. The restaurant also serves beer and wine.

We happened upon this very cozy, warm and quaint restaurant by accident and so glad we did! Our waiter, Mario, was very friendly, professional and knowledgable. The recommendations that he made were perfect! The dishes were all delicious, service impeccable and prices very reasonable. We can't wait to go back again, even if it means driving the 60+ miles to get there!
The atmosphere is not great but the food was amazing!
Old school, old fashioned meal. Looking forward to coming back this spring and summer!

Was absolutely brilliant . Our server Luca was superb, the food was some of the best we have had in the North End. Most of all the entire staff treated us like family. It was our sons birthday, we didn't inform anyone in advance, but when we got there the entire team made such a fuss about him and made him feel so special. We can't thank you enough. Made the night one to remember. We WILL be back soon
Always a last minute decision to go but when we do the service is wonderful and the food...the food is DELICIOUS!! I had a melon mule for a drink = so good!!!
