Amazing experience! My husband and I went here for our babymoon and had such a wonderful time. The location is ideal and extremely walkable to the main restaurants/shopping areas and close to the harbor. The staff were so kind and even gave us cute gifts for the baby. The bar was also a fun little hangout spot, serving food and good drinks by very kind bartenders. The restaurant Saltyard is also located in the hotel. They also have bikes you can take out. Great property with stylish accommodations, a fantastic rooftop bar, delicious food (don’t skip the breakfast) and perfect location near all the Old Port attractions.
Overall, the hotel is nice. The things we loved: Room size and decor, local blanket foot of bed, having a bar on roof and restaurant / bakery in lobby. We didn’t like the noise in the room from the toilet above flushing every time. The fan in our bathroom didn’t work. And the bartenders are the worst we had in all of Portland. Thankfully, there are great wine stores nearby and restaurants. The bakery and front desk staff were very nice.
The only photo I have from our stay at Canopy Portland Waterfront is a chocolate bar purchased from the lobby kiosk. No matter, it signals our primary reason for visiting Maine - a Coastal Maine & Acadia Bike Tour. Kudos to Marley, Maddy, Alison, and Renee at the Front Desk for ensuring all our needs were exceeded. The limited time we spent in Portland was enjoyable beyond our expectations - people, food, beverages, and events. Already, we are contemplating a return...all the way from Tucson AZ!
We had a great long weekend at the hotel! Room was clean, large, and comfortable. Really appreciated the space for luggage so it wasn't all over the floor, and the big bathroom is always a plus! Location is within a 15-20 minute walk from the majority of spots in Portland proper one would likely visit, and even the hotel itself has a great coffee option at Salt Yard, and a very fun rooftop bar! Have to shout out Alec at the front desk - he was able to get us a room right away when we arrived early, and sent us to his favorit... read more
