They seem to specialize in building identical McMansions for transplants with high-paying remote jobs, who move in with their goldendoodles and Range Rovers—driving up the cost of living for lifelong residents. As someone who’s rented in the area for five years, I’ve just about given up on the idea of ever affording a home in this neighborhood. Unfortunately, $1–2 million is well beyond my budget.
Our experience has been very difficult. Today was a good example of the past months of our lives. At 5am, cranes arrived to drop roofing materials on the roof of Canopy’s home across the street. We already have earbuds and noise canceling music playing, because the past months have taught us that calling Canopy doesn’t impact the work before 7am. Incredible experience from start to finish - we met Ben over 4 years ago (Lauren’s impeccable design caught my wife’s attention), and his detailed approach to timeline and pricing sealed the deal.
