I don't know why it says it is permanently closed because I just stayed there last night (Halloween 2015). But anyways it our rooms were VERY spacious and suited our needs for the night. They are the size of a regular apartment with beautiful high ceilings. The only thing I wish we had was a bottle of dish soap and/or a tablet for the dishwasher.
