We went to this store today looking for a whole overnight hiking setup for our family. One of the assistants cheerfully and knowledgeably spent the best part of 4 hours explaining everything about all the things we wanted. We fitted packs, tried out tents and picked sleeping gear. They happily price matched without us even asking and overall went over and above. We will be back.
Great people and good store. I miss the surplus goods...that was always my greatest interest. However, they have now announced they will automatically price compare the internet and match the lowest prices they find...can't beat that!!

Super Awesome Camping supplies, also Cold weather survival gear, but I wish they'd bring back the antenna toppers and the cheap 5-6$ pocket knives
I rarely write reviews but the service and value when getting a car rack for our kayaks was outstanding. The staff was super helpful and patient with my multitude of questions. They even installed the rack system. This experience gained Canfield's our business for life.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I've been shopping around for the right backpack and settled on an Osprey Volt 75 today. They brought the price down $50 bucks to match the best price I had found on it which allowed me to get a dayhike hydration backpack to go with it. With the price match in mind, Canfield's will be my first stop.
