Overpriced and Outdated — Friendly Staff, Not Worth It 3 Stars Overall The staff at Candlewood Suites Santa Maria were friendly and pleasant, and that was definitely the best part of the stay. That said, the property feels quite outdated and stripped down for the price. It is hard to justify the cost for an older hotel that does not offer much in return. Was going to check into this hotel, they demanded $10 for parking in their half-empty, unfenced, completely unsecured parking lot. Took my business elsewhere. Found a perfectly good room with free parking for the same price a couple blocks away.
Not worth the $200 I paid for an 8 hour stay
