Coming from the East Bay Area of California, and having speant a lot of time in Detroit, I really felt good coming here on an NFL Sunday morning. Great burgers and had a really good Chocolate donut from the owner!! Best deals on bloody Mary's too ;)
I flew here from Michigan to be with my son and his family for his birthday yesterday. We drove from Cheyenne Wyoming down to Denver to the Candlelight Tavern. It was so much fun. The food was great, the drinks were good and being amongst other Lions fans was awesome. It's a really great memory for us to have my son's birthday. Those waitresses were absolutely awesome!!! And the tab surprised us at how resdonable it was. Stop in-you won't regret it.
Fantastic, old neighborhood bar atmosphere. Great staff. Especially enjoyed the fact that this is clearly a gathering hub for Detroit area expatriates. Most noticibly while the Lions are playing.
This was friendliest neighborhood bar the staff great their customers all so nice! And oh the burgers are the best!!!
I've been going to the Candlelight for 16 years and always have a fantastic time. Cold beer, great people and raucous memories!
