I was shocked at how small the portions were for the price. I ordered $140 of food to be delivered, and it was only enough for one person. (Not the 5 that we were). Very sad.

This has been a staple in my life for the last decade. So sad to see it close. Hopefully they’ll find a new space soon.
We went for my birthday in November, glad to be able to appreciate the wonderfulness of this place before it closes. Everything was perfect, from drinks to appetizers, entrees and dessert. I’m just sad it won’t be there the next time I am in New York.
By far my favorite vegan restaurant ever. I've been vegan for nearly four years, and I have never seen such a creative, deliciously unique vegan menu. Please, open a new location for the good of all of us!

Along with Blossom, Candle 79 was the first great vegan restaurant we found in Manhattan years ago. It’s still a wonderful place with a varied menu with excellently created vegan plates from all over the world.
Out of this world yummyness! So delicious!!!!
