I hope it's legitimate they're doing a great thing for people
I have been awarded a scholarship through the Cancer Survivors' Fund and have had nothing but pleasant interactions with them. Whenever I am contacted by the organization they always have a genuine interest in my well being and truly are there to be of service to the scholarship recipients. I am so happy that I have had the opportunity to interact with this organization, even if it is only through phone calls and emails back and forth.
I would not even give it one star, based on my experience. I donated $50 and I have no proof from them for the tax deduction. I called three days in a row, and I still have no response, no email, no receipt. I can see why they are rated one of the worst charities out there. Don't bother calling next year.
