My wife call an ambulance for me 3 years ago and was shocked to receive a bill for 2500.00. For a 2 mile ride. I was having vertigo and she was afraid I was having another heart attack. I made payments for 3 years and finally called to get my balance and a statement. I was told because I was making payments they didn't have to send me a statement.that when I was paid up they would stop taking it out of my account. WHAT??? I personally want to thank the crew who was working the night of 11-30-18..the night I brought my baby girl into this crazy world by giving birth at home.. the ambulance crew who showed up were mostly men! They responded to our call within minutes! I live about 10 minutes away from the hospital. . they were polite, assured my daughters safety & mine as well.. making sure we had everything to start our journey to the hospital in the ambulance. I personally think these men & women need to be recognized. .& given a hero reward.... read more

5 miles from my apt to Thompson Hosp. $$2,500 !! I dare someone to justifying how this bill is fair business? I recieved oxygen and a 5 minute ride. My daughter survived an apt fire this winter at camelot squareand was transported uninjured for $5000. Even if my Medicaid pays? We all pay . Shame on you .
