I had one of the best experiences while visiting New Orleans. I looked for a black owned nail shop and found Laura Owner of Canal Place Barber and Nail Salon. Laura is about healthy nails, she identified that yes I’ve had that drill for gel. She did everything by hand on my pedicure and I walked out feeling like a million bucks! My pedicure was great! Laura was wonderful! I was in town for a work trip and she rearranged her schedule to fit me in. She was kind, knowledgeable and cares about the health of the nails. And as a bonus offers Dazzle Dry polish. I would highly recommend her!
Sunshine (I believe that was her name) is SO lovely! She squeezed me in even though she had a meeting and gave my nails the utmost attention, especially helping with how brittle they’ve been. We did a Dazzle Dry manicure at her suggestion since I wanted something that lasts but wouldn’t damage my already weak nails. She did very minimal buffing, which I really appreciated.
