The staff are incredibly lovely. It was my first time donating and I have needle anxiety even during blood tests - the nurses were extremely nice trying to do everything possible to make me comfortable. This is also the opposite of your usual Canadian healthcare experience - the facility was bright, open and clean, there was not a single second spent waiting on anyone other than me, and for the entire time there was someone with me.
