First time in 10 years on the job I've given up on a hotel and asked for a refund to book elsewhere. Arrived at 3:45pm check in day, was greeted warmly but front desk had to call up to housekeeping to see if the room was ready, heard them say 5-10 mins so i was asked to take a seat and wait. At 4:15 i approached for an update and while apologies took place, i was forgotten.
