The location is great, apartment is fine, the construction is cheap as you would expect. The staff is the biggest downfall. They are deceptive, disgruntled and downright nasty. If you never need anything and can go into the office multiple times and demand help you can get by.
I have lived at Campus view for 2 years and the WiFi is never consistent. This has been a constant issue since I moved in. The pool is closed almost all the time, there mind as well not even be a pool here. The equipment in the gym is also always broken and never fixed. There is one working treadmill for the entire apartment complex. My rent has increased greatly since I moved in. Campus View is way overpriced for what you get. The spaces are small and once you move in, you find out they want to charge you more for things like pest control. We signed a contract and stayed there until the college closed campus in March. My child moved home at that time. We continued to pay rent the full 12 months and even paid an electric bill monthly when no one was staying in the apartment. I wish i could give this place zero stars. The only good things about this apartment complex is the location and the maintenance staff. The management refused to accommodate residents in any way. They not only raised rent after it was too late for residents to search for other places to live, but they add hidden and ridiculous fees to residents accounts. And demand is only high because everyone thinks it’s the place to be and it’s not. I’ve never been so scammed by a company. Have staff available for all move out dates with their tenants. My family spent the better part of 4 hours cleaning my son's apartment room, the kitchen, and his bathroom. He turned in the keys, no one did a walk through with him (said they didn't need to). Now, we have a threatening note demanding $280.00 for damages? There was no pictures to show, there was nothing noted as to specific damages, if this was for the entire suite, or just my son. Campus View does not take their residents’ concerns seriously. There is a problem with cockroaches and their answer is “that’s normal for the south”. This has been ongoing since move in day. Hopefully the city of Clemson can help us because campus view is not.
