They don't even deserve one star honestly. Maintenance is terrible, there is no communication between anybody, and they will rip you apart if you aren't paying attention. They tried to increase rent on us and even stuck a For Rent sign in our front lawn after we already told them we were renewing. The "maintenance" they do is mediocre and we constantly had to call them back out for the jobs that they would come in for in the first place. The realtor even walked into our house unexpectedly one day (he had a key and all) to sh... read more

Think the hardest part of going to college is the school work? Think again! Dealing with Campus Homes is! If you are thinking of leasing, make sure you go ahead and start preemptively emailing them about issues that need to be fixed. In our house, we emailed them about there not being weather stripping (we could feel the air blowing on all four sides of our front and back door) and the heat not working for about two months; they only responded when I found the Texas Statute about leasing offices having to provide heat when i... read more

Do NOT lease with them. The unit we were leased was much smaller than the model we were shown. We were assured the only difference was a "smaller backyard" but it turned out 3 of the 4 rooms did not have walk in closets as promised. Our unit was not cleaned from the previous tenants and the doors were left unlocked and wide open when we we moved in. We were unable to speak to a landlord for two weeks, constantly being directed to the college students who worked in the office because our landlord was "busy" even though the st... read more

We have so many safety violations at our house (broken bay window, faulty front door, windows that do not lock... etc) & we have contacted campus homes several times for them to come fix them with no reply. I woke up at 3am on February 12th because my dog was growling at 2 men outside my house... after calling the police, I physically watched these 2 men attempt to break into our cars. Campus homes STILL has done nothing to fix the multiple safety defects on our house. ALSO our air conditioner has been broken for 3 days (my ... read more

Absolutely horrible leasing company and a nightmare to deal with. To start the houses are a facade. They look nice but are poorly built. The house flooded any time a heavy rain was received (about 4 times in a year). This was a known issue and the management would send out an email for tenants to move their belongings to high ground. In what world is paying $2000 a month for a home where belongs have to be "moved to high ground" okay? When it came to having the deposit returned, we should have seen the warning signs.
