Campton Place Hotel I stayed at the Campton Place for a business trip Feb 15 - 18th. Had a great stay. Location was good for downtown business happenings and close to night time eating, shopping...and morning coffee shops. The only drawback to this hotel is the room service is very "rich"...meaning it's tough to find your average quick meal (sandwich and fruit). Most items are "shi-shi-fu-fu". Campton Place Hotel Our room was not very spacious, but it was relatively well-appointed. Service here is terrific and the staff is very polite and courteous. This hotel is a private, quiet place, but the location is still hard to beat. The food here is fantastic. The hotel, in general, was spotlessly clean. The beds here were also extremely comfortable, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud.
Excellent! The Campton Place Restaurant is truly THE San Francisco treat (sorry Rice a Roni). The food is superb, although some menu items are for the culinarily adventurous only. This is a great place to go for a special occasion - the elegance of the hotel and its dining room will make you feel that you've stepped back in time. And PS, wearing a jacket for men is "suggested"
Timeless elegance From the moment you step into this hotel, whether for a meal at the unparalleled restaurant (yes a hotel restaurant that is good) or to stay, the timeless elegance of this lovely place will make an indelible impression in your mind. From it's winning location (Union Square) to the well appointed if small guest rooms to its restaurant (did I mention the restaurant), you can't beat this hotel for its elegant luxury. You will not regret staying here!
