Careless and unprofessional – I was deeply dissatisfied with the tailoring done on a trenchcoat that I brought here to have the sleeves shortened. Two inches from the bottom of each sleeve was a mini belt encircled by three loops, which would have to be repositioned as well. I was told it would cost $55 and take two weeks, which seemed to be expensive and slow, but I figured it would result in a perfect product. Ridiculously overpriced but good work – Campos & Campos do very good work, but their prices for basic alterations are absurd. To alter the waist and length of three regular pairs of pants, they charged $160!!!! Maybe I will use them for suits, but they are not the place for simple jobs.

Very good work – The tailors here do very good work. I've primarily used them to hem my jeans and also to take in the waist on the ones that had that "booty gap." Their work is flawless and no one would be able to tell that I had my jeans taken in or hemmed. Yes, they are pricey. But if they can do magic on jeans, I can only imagine what they can do to a suit and to fine items.

Overpriced – they do good work, but nothing to justify the outrageous prices. i went in a number of years ago and was surprised when i got a $75 bill for fairly innocuous alterations to a new suit. i thought that perhaps there were some special adjustments that i didn't know about. but when i went in for alterations again, some years later, i got the same stiffing. i have over 50 suits, and i've had many alterations. so i know what i'm talking about. go someplace else. this place is a rip-off.

Tailor can't "get around" to your items (even when he gives you a date), or even call you to tell he is late. – I dropped a ski suit off here in the first week of june '06. The tailor told me it would be finished by june 30. Mr. Campos was a bit testy when, having temporarily misplaced the receipt, I called two weeks later to see when I could pick it up. Great tailors, but slow – I've got to admit, Campos & Campos is the best tailors I've ever used, which is saying something since I'm a big fan of getting clothes fitted correctly. Of course, it pains me to say this ... the place is already too busy. They're very nice and very sweet, but they've never once finished an order on time. I've had to go back two to three times after the work was supposed to be finished. But if you can put up with that, you're in for a treat.
