Superb Dr. listens well. Kind and gentle. He answers My chart in a very timely manner. He did a surgical procedure on me and was very gentle and reassuring. I have sought his counsel many times outside the office visit as I live far from NJ. He has been attentive and simply wonderful in responding to every concern I have had. He is the kind of Dr. Most people wish they had!
4 1/2 years ago Dr. Campo performed a minor procedure for stress incontinence. The day of the procedure he used a different product than we discussed at the consultation. (Make sure you READ the informed consent forms the day of the procedure before initialing/signing because it legally protects the Dr.) I left the procedure in pain and followed up with Dr. Campo days after and over the next few months and he said he didn't know why I was in pain and prescribed antibiotics. Office staff should be fired. their objective is to avoid contact with patients and to take their next break. Office staff is not patient directed. Dr. Campo, himself, is OK when he shows up, which seems to be about 1/5th of when you expect him to show up. Feedback is non-existant. No treatment plan, none communicated at least. Find another practice this one is the pits.

He's a bit wierd. The people on his staff are the pits. I think he just wants to do surgerys. He hires the worst staff, and hopes all his patients stop coming to him after their surgery. He operated on me for prostate cancer in Jan 2010. stayed with him for about 2 years. On office visits after the surgery, he never touched once .....
Dr. Campo is great and I'd highly recommend him. However, I do echo some of the concerns others have expressed about his practice staff. Results from my test came in, but they did not contact me - I had to call in after a few days to ask about the results and then they got Dr. Campo to call me back (which he did pretty quickly).
I am wondering who gave him the medical license.
Dr. Campo himself seems knowledgeable. His staff on the other hand are very unprofessional. I was scheduled for a vasectomy today and was later told, while on the hospital bed with an IV in my arm, that doctor campo will not be coming in to do my procedure because he was not aware that I was schedule for one today. This was very frustrating and unprofessional. I was even given a reminder phone call yesterday telling me to fast and not drink water after 12am. I was told to arrive at 630 am.
would never recommend dr Campo or his unhelpful staff. imagine you get a biopsy and a week later when the results come in you call the office and ask for the results. the results are in but the doctor has to call you back. you wait for half a day for a call back but nothing - you call the office and back and they say the doctor has left for the weekend sorry - he never cared enough to call back you are not important and then the staff is very rude. looking for a new urologist
