Never in my life would I have thought that there would be a day in Australia, where I would have to discharge myself from my own hospital bed just so that they would give it to my wife who needed it more than I did. I’ve never witnessed a more disfunctional, supposed “health care” facility in my life. Always spare at least 5 hours when you go to any public hospital. I feel for the girl before us - we came past 7pm, and for sure she came before us. She was "fast tracked" after 6 hours. While we were waiting for a doctor to call us. There aren't any available doctors, waiting time is at least 2 hours. Going to the ER is always a waiting game.
Came to maternity ward at 6 months pregnant for issues. My overnight stay felt elite. Everything was so clean. The midwives and nurses were absolutely amazing (and the drs). I felt so taken care of and so respected. Honestly felt like I was in a 5 star hotel
I had an extremely disappointing experience at Campbelltown Hospital. I presented to the emergency department and waited over 7 hours without being seen or checked on by any staff. During this time, there was little to no communication, no updates, and no sense of urgency or care for patients who were clearly unwell and in need of attention. Haven't even gone for an appointment yet and already disappointed called over 6 times yesterday on hold for 30 mins each time just to have the phone hung up on me . And then mis information from a staff member on referrals waited over 2 weeks for a response for an appointment to no avail. And they gave me total mis information on the first call most likely racially profiled me and im now almost half way through pregnancy without a single appointment done as of yet due to the slack staff in their cs and front desk side who do... read more
