They charged me a fee equivalent to an additional 50% over the cost of the propane, so that the delivery driver could attach a pressure gauge and then sit in his truck for 5 minutes.
I've been trying to resolve a problem for over a week with Amerigas. They filled my tank, but didn't turn it back on. I was home, but only got an e-mail that gas was delivered. Because it was not turned back on, I did not have heat for 3 days. Called a local heat service company and they told me he gas was turned off and to call the gas company which I did and it took them 3 days to come and turn it back on. Consequently I had no heat for 3 days and a bill for $130.00 from the service company.
Amerigas historically charges @$1-2 per gal. more than the rate in local areas per EIA (US Energy Information Administration) Report. NC rate was $3.305/gal. on 12/16/24 while Amerigas rate on 12/19/24 was $4.629/gal.
I would leave no stars if I could! This company is the absolute worst! They said they need to move the propane tanks after they had been in the same place for 25 years. When the Campbell worker was supposed to come out, after I had taken vacation time off of work, they didn’t show up. No call, no apology. When you try to call to get information, you get routed to a call center in a different country. Had to ask 4 times for the phone number to be changed on the account. Don’t use them if you have a choice!
Just when I was about to check the level in our tank a truck showed up to fill it up. Nice work!
