The manager of this facility admitted that their staff “dropped the ball” and did not perform mandated hourly checks on our dog. He was left alone in his kennel for five hours while he was having a medical emergency. The staff could not answer basic questions about our dog and clearly really couldn’t care less about his wellbeing. He died at the emergency vet 90 minutes after we picked him up. I am extremely disappointed and saddened in this staff as a whole. I had my dogs at camp bow wow on and off the past couple of days due to home issues. They both stayed for daycare and boarding and when I picked my dogs up, and noticed one of them was not acting normal, they told me they “weren’t sure” how he was acting all day prior or current day, “couldn’t remember” if he ate or drank at all and “appeared to be fine but also did not want to leave the kennel or play so we left him alone”. Disappointed in the pricing tactics. It used to be a flat rate that you could depend on, but within the last year, that has changed. First, they added a “late check out fee,” if you pick your dog up after 10:00AM. Now they’ve also added a “seasonal fee,” and charge an extra fee due to it being summer time. This seasonal fee came without warning prior to booking our dog’s stay, and was applied without mention after we picked him up.
