A heavy summer storm closed the road to Telluride after we reserved a room in the late morning driving in from Pagosa Springs. By 4:00, we and all others were blocked by emergency vehicles part way up - flooding water, sleet and rockslides endangered vehicles on the road. (Who knew, this was an August afternoon.) The first road we tried earlier was closed for construction so we had turned around to try this second route. I called to inform the front desk that we could not come up as soon as we were back in cell service area ... read more
Right next to the Gondola. Giant heated pool on second floor. Great Restaurant on first floor. Great breakfast on second floor with great views of the Gondola heading up the mountain. Rooms have great balconies with views of the waterfalls cascading down the cliffs. Galloping Goose Bus comes by ever 15 minutes and don't have to use the wheelchair because they have a lift. The bus take you around town for free.

Otherwise, guests should be able to use the amenities they are paying for without being harassed. I chose this hotel because of the location and amenities and came with high expectations, but this incident turned my stay into a very unpleasant exp... read more
Location, location, location! The gondola is steps away as is the entire town. Room is really nice, comfy bed, fireplace and A/C! Free breakfast, but just toast, bagels, yogurt...no protein. Good parking and was able to accommodate a higher clearance vehicle. Loved everything about this hotel!
