Beer great food average
I went to Cambridge brewing company on a hot day in July. Over 90 degrees. We were told that we were not able to sit in the restaurant unless ordering food (despite it being 80% empty at 2pm). We were told we could either stand outside in full sun, or stand at the bar as there were no available seats. Not impressed. We left and will not return. Save yourself a trip and go check out Lamplighter a short walk away.
We tried to stop for a few beer while on a recent vacation. With this being a well-known brewery we were excited to see what they had! Unfortunately, even though the place was not even half full we were told that we were not allowed to sit down without eating an entire meal. Our options were to stand in full sun on a day that was over 90 degrees or to “sit” at the bar even though there were not enough seats. Great atmosphere, excellent service, good food, good selection of craft beer.
Cambridge brewing company was definitely not bad. That said, my burger was over cooked, the margarita pizza was tasty but not anything special, and although our server was very friendly, he and other staff were slow on a not-busy evening. Far from bad, but there are better restaurants in the area for a comparable price. The beer was better than than other Cambridge MA breweries in my experience.
Very nice
The fish and chips had no taste. Their signature lobster sandwich had no substance. Just lardy sourdough toast.
Great beer, food and atmosphere! Made us Maine boys feel welcome.
Very creative dishes . A hidden gem. But tasty pub food for non foodies as well. great location next to out favorite theater.
