At round 0230 my wife had to call a ambulance. Finally in the back Dan was trying his hardest to get a needle in me,Tom who drove and only 3 weeks on the job,both men were fantastic professional and caring. To my surprise I ended up in the same bed where I was a couple of years ago Bed 5. From the moment I arrived I found the nursing staff fantastic the doctors also fantastic,the treatment I received was next level. I'm a proud Australian but most of all proud of the nursing staff,doctors and paramedics.

I know the Mater has copped some bad media recently and a lot of the reviews here seem to not understand that a hospital isn’t your own private surgery, but I came in via the ED. Yes I had to wait and it was hard but staff were supportive and you only have limited resources. Once I was admitted and quickly operated on, my care was exceptional. The staff are just divine. Good caring Doctors,Triage nurses,Admin Clerks and others that work there. It was my first time experience to be admitted here at the Emergency department.At first I was scared nervous but I met up with the perfect good team on that night shift.They made me feel comfortable and safe. Make us feel home. ❤🙏

Really upsetting experience, as a Canadian paying for fees out of pocket I was asked to pay for the ED presentation amount prior to service. Then I was held hostage here essentially, 13 hour waits despite what the websites says and the board they post. So many opportunities for them to consult you and give you better options and instead the choose to let you languish in discomfort for undetermined amount of time. could rate a 0. Very unclean waiting room with bodily fluids on some chairs and floors.Extremely long waiting times.Waited for 8 hrs to be seen to with cardiac symptoms.Other patients had waited for 12hrs.Patients had to go sleep in their cars waiting to be seen.Care factor and compassionate fatigue obvious from staff there, wanting to dismiss potential serious cardiac symptoms.It is very disheartening and concerning
