i broke both wrists and banged my head this wk and was ambulanced to the mater ED. the medical staff were unreal and great people who do an amazing job. onya Bluey you're a wizard

My first visit to Calvary Mater Hospital ED (11 February, around 8pm) was a mixed experience mostly not good. When we first arrived, the ED admin staff who took my information were really nice and very helpful. The nurse who attended to me looked very tired but still managed to assist me professionally, which I appreciated. However, the waiting time was much longer than I expected for my first ED visit. My hubbie and I arrived in emergency on New Year’s Day. He was suffering from cellulitis and needed Iv antibiotics. Almost immediately he was admitted to the short stay ward where he spent 1 night. We were both very impressed with the staff, the service and treatment. Thankyou.

Iam a 72 year old male arrived on 4th floor day surgery ward for my routine check up ( Colonoscopy ) I want to thank the Nurses There i have some names but please forgive me if i didn't mention your name as you get to see a few different ones while you are in there :) There was Kylie , Isabelle , Gabby Allison & Renee :) They all were just Amazing !!! made me feel comfortable , reassured that everything was going to be fine and made me feel complete at ease .!!! I will never step foot in this ED again. For the second time I waited over 10 hours ( 9.45pm to 7.15am) and after still not been seen walked out to seek help elsewhere. At 5.30pm I was told I was next but the nurse/doctor came out called another name and that person they called had walked out, but instead of calling the next person on their list, went back into the ED. Another hour later they called another persons name and they too were not in the waiting room,so again they walked back to the ED. By this time I had enough. ... read more
