I have to say, I have used 4 hospice services here in the high desert . It wasn’t until I seen Kelli B. In action with patients that I chose that Calstro was the best for our Dad. When I first hired on Calstro I wasn’t to sure about there services . Once we was able to get Kelli B on for our Dad we couldn’t be more happier . They gave my loved one the absolute best care possible. They were here not just for my loved one but for our family as well. We loved our hospice team. They cared and it showed. We’ve been to hell and back and through it all, Calstro was our light through all of this. We always felt that our loved one was treated like a person, not a number or a $ sign. Dr discharged me a week before Christmas, I'm happy to still be here by God's grace but as you know it's not very humane to discharge and have to go through total withdrawal after 8 months on opioid. And my pcp dr is now on vacation until jan9. So I can go to pain mng because I am still in pain. The staff was polite ,certain nurses really care about their patients while others are in a hurry. Even though they are a basic 5 star hospice they have alot of work to do if they put me under this stress during holidays.
If you are reading is looking into a hospice for your loved one first of all I’m very sorry I’ve been there. I’m so thankful they were able to help me bring my dad from Gardena to Victorville for his Hospice Care. From the intake to the nurses to the nurse aids to the social worker and the office staff everyone made this challenging time for a family less challenging. Sending you lots of prayers and you are in good hands.
