this realty place is the biggest rip-off around
Callicutt can be beat. Many people do not educate themselves about north carolina laws concerning housing. My daughter rents from him and the house she is in a decent house because he does not own it , just manages it. She documents everything! every phone call, every payment, she sent them a copy of north carolina landlord/tenant rights plus she is a housing manager herself and knows the law. we had bought a new home and we were going to move out of these apartments, we told them 30 days before we moved and when we went to get our deposit money they told us we had never said anything and that we were not going to get our money back. the houses were in horrible conditions there a lot of roaches and all other kinds of insects they never really do anything about what is needed.
This is one of Lexington NC major "slum lords". Most of the property they rent out isnt worth letting your dog live in. Their maintenance is bare minimum that the city will accept. I would not suggest renting from them, or letting them manage your property!
all properties either have so many holes you cant keep warm or cold and will not keep up the maitenance. walls comming apart from floors at 302 pennington ave and do not want to fix anything. and if they do they take months to get around to it. this is a bad place to go to. mold in most homes.
Their housing is horrible.My toliet was about to fall through and I had someone come out and fix the flooring and they said all the floors where bad.My children and I stayed sick all the time and a piece of the wallpaper was coming off and you could see the mold on the wall.A person who works for the county also said they have been in houses that had holes in the floor and they wouldnt fix it.They are slumlords and prey on people with less money.I left my house spotless and even had 3 rooms painted by a painter and they kept... read more
Some of the properties are not that bad you just have to look and they are affordable. So if you are looking for your first place, or you are a student, they are good to go through.
