I contacted Dr. V. Callendar Glenn Dale location for the first time for a new patient appointment and her staff in the dermatology department was ghetto, rude, unprofessional, argumentative. I suggest if you are African American and seeking an African American doctor to take your business elsewhere where your business/money/time is appreciated. It makes black business look bad.
Business response:
The conversations are recorded and speak for themselves. Patient was very unprofessional, hostile and the projections in her complaint are exactly who she is.
Highly unprofessional; Telehealth appointments should not be 20+ minutes behind schedule without some notification. The fact I had to call the office after sitting in the virtual waiting room for 30 minutes to then be transferred to a receptionist who lacks customer service and adherence to the policies stated by the office is unacceptable. Collect the copay before the service is standard, but to have patients waiting without reason is ridiculous- if this were the other way around I would be paying a $50 cancellation/no show... read more
The staff is horrible!!! They lack customer service. The Dr. Is not getting back to patients when you leave a message with her nurse. My daughter broke out terribly, I called and called, left messages no return call. Three days later I was promised to speak to doctor that day, no doctor call.
Excellent professional and personable service for various dermatology issues
The receptionist told me most appointments take an hour! I got there and hadn’t even been seen by a nurse! Also was informed that I would have to pay a fee to reschedule because the doctors office couldn’t adhere to one hour like the receptionist said! Trash customer service. The nurse on the phone also replied “how long did she think she would be here” when I left 30 minutes before the office closed!
Great customer service and knowledge staff.
So far so good. It’s a little pricey depending on your insurance and what services you receive but my HSA account is a huge blessing so I really don’t pay out of pocket. I like that majority of the staff are African American because that’s rarely seen in healthcare.
Excellent Practitioners, but the wait time to be seen (lately) has been unacceptable. I travel far to be seen at this practice, so I wait patiently, but a 45 minute wait is something they need to address! Dr Young, Ms Patterson and Melanie are wonderful and warm.
Highly recommended professionalism from door to check out
