Our A/C stopped pumping cold air and the first place we called came out and tried telling me that it's R-22 so it's illegal to recharge and we need a new $10k system. I knew that was a total lie. Second place said they could recharge it but it would be "a couple thousand dollars" for the refrigerant (it only needed 1-2 lbs). We called Callen Refrigeration for a second opinion and he came right out and found 2 broken wires, fixed them, and said there was nothing wrong with our compressor. What a great company!! We really appreciated that it was family run. They took time to help my son know the status of the HFAC in a home before he bought it. After purchasing the home and when it came time to replace it with a heat pump, they were prompt (even came earlier than scheduled since the old furnace died one day) and installed everything efficiently. We appreciated that they were reasonably priced and answered any and all questions we had. They were fair and honest. Callens are the ones to go to.
